VTMs allow customers to speak with an employee located in a remote location. VTMs include the basic components of an ATM, such as the receipt printer and card reader. However, VTMs usually include additional features such as:

• A video camera and for conducting conversations with a teller
• A coin dispenser
• A ID scanner for verifying the customer&#;s identity
• A signature pad

VTM Advantages:

• Efficiency: The majority of transactions performed by a teller can also be handled by a VTM such as cash withdrawals, check cashing, cash and check deposits, and loan payments. The video teller can guide you through every step of your transactions and answer any questions you may have.
• Convenience: VTMs provide service beyond a branch&#;s standard operation hours. By showing the teller a valid ID, customers can verify their identity and complete transactions.
• Bills: VTMs hold a wide range of bills&#; so you can get 50s, 20s, 5s, and 1s. You can typically select your cash mix at these machines. Whereas deposits are only accepted at some ATMs.
