I am really at my wits' end with all this research, I need your help mumsnet! We are struggling to pick the right stroller and unfortunately, we can't find any stores nearby that have the models we are contemplating.
Our toddler is at the 99th percentile for height and is currently 17 months old. My husband is quite tall at 6'6". We are in search of a stroller that accommodates both their heights comfortably.
Here are our requirements:
Handle height of at least 105cm
Seat that can lie flat (or almost flat) but also sits upright
High back and headrest in the seat (our toddler is already too tall for the Silver Cross Clic seat back)
A decent-sized basket
Able to support a child up to 22kg or more
A buggy that weighs no more than 8kg, ideally less than 7kg
Preferably airplane sized, though it's not a deal-breaker if it needs to go in the hold
Ideally can attach car seat (maxi cosi) as we are expecting another baby
I've narrowed the choices down to:
Joie Parcel Signature
Ergobaby Metro+
Cosetta Whoosh 3
Nuna TRVL
Does anyone have any of these? Any recommendations? I really don't want to invest in something that ends up being unsuitable for us.
Do you know what the ultimate stamp of approval is? When your husband declares he's done with strollers that make him hunch over, and then, after trying the Joovy Groove Ultralight, he tells you it’s the best umbrella stroller for tall people!

Before diving into its many fantastic features, I should mention that after having four children, we've used numerous strollers over the last 10 years. Currently, our garage looks like a parking lot for baby strollers — much to my husband's chagrin.
With that experience, I can confidently say why the Groove is so impressive and stands out as one of the best umbrella strollers for tall people (it’s worth noting that while I’m not particularly tall, my husband is and he won’t use strollers that make him hunch over — it’s a deal-breaker).
We even took the Joovy Groove Ultralight on our recent vacation to Florida, tackling SIX theme parks — yes, six! This stroller performed beautifully, proving its durability and ease of use, earning its spot among the best umbrella strollers for tall people.
Remember those commercials showing first-time moms packing everything imaginable for a day out? We've all been there, but less can truly be more. The Joovy Groove features less weight, less fuss, and everything you need.
Case in point: this stroller folds up compactly, making it easy to take anywhere. We had minimal storage space during our last road trip, but this stroller fit neatly in the rear. It’s perfect for airports too, with its built-in carrying strap.
One of the key features I seek in a stroller is a large canopy. Many strollers have tiny canopies that are ineffective. The Joovy Groove Ultralight stands out with its large, adjustable, and removable canopy that offers excellent sun and rain protection.
The fabric seems water-resistant as well, causing water to bead up on top. During our 8-day Florida trip, it rained daily, yet the canopy kept the baby mostly dry, and the wet parts dried quickly.
This canopy also features a peek-a-boo window, which is handy for checking if your child is asleep without disturbing them.

For babies or toddlers likely to fall asleep in the stroller, comfort is essential. The near-flat recline and adjustable footrest on the Joovy Groove simplify on-the-go napping. The only minor drawback is that reclining is not one-hand operated, requiring two hands to slowly recline without waking the baby.
A unique feature among similar-sized strollers is the parent organizer. It includes a zippered pocket for keys, phone, and valuables, accessible even when the seat is fully reclined, plus a beverage holder for one drink.
The Groove comes with a large storage basket that can easily fit a purse and a diaper bag, which is a significant plus for me!
The 5-point harness on the Joovy is user-friendly, remaining securely in place unless intentionally removed. Each section of the harness is fully adjustable.
Inside the stroller, there are mesh pockets on each side for the child's toys or sippy cup, providing easy access to their favorite items.
We love our Joovy Groove Ultralight as a top choice for umbrella strollers for tall people.
