The Magnelab RCT-4800 is a single-phase flexible Rogowski coil (Rope CT) that measures AC current up to 15,000 amps with an output of 0.333 Vac (with integrator). The coil offers industry-leading accuracy with 0.5% linearity. At 60Hz, it outputs 0.070 volts AC per 1000 amps through the primary; at 50 Hz, it outputs 58.33 mV per 1000 A. The coil is 48" long, 16" in diameter, and extremely flexible.
The coil can be easily installed on a bus bar or existing cable in seconds. Although sold without an integrator, it can be purchased with a single-phase integrator (models RCT-4800-250 through RCT-4800-3000).
For tight spaces, consider the tear-drop shaped RCT-900T, available with or without an integrator. You can buy these coils individually or as part of the RCS-4800 three-phase flexible AC current sensor system, which includes multiple coils, an integrator, and a power supply, all with an output of 0.333 volts AC.
The RCT-4800 features a 0.5% linearity accuracy. Depending on your measuring needs, you may require an integrator. While the coil itself doesn't need an external power supply, the integrator requires 12 to 30V AC or DC, available separately from Magnelab. If used with certain power meters, an external integrator isn’t necessary as these meters have built-in integrators compatible with Magnelab coils. This coil is commonly used in power meters, energy sub-meters, condition monitoring, power quality monitoring, and distributed measurement systems. It is fully compliant with UL, CSA, RoHS, CE, and ISO standards, and is made in the USA.
